ROUND THE PICTURE SHOWS.
EVERYBODY’S.
With an appealing title like “The Only Son” there has been no falling off in attendances at Everybody’s Theatre, the story involved be’ng of
stirring interest to young and old. The transition of a penniless-engineer into a railroad “king,” a marital estrangement, a son’s devotion to his mother and the part he plays in reuniting husband and wife, make palatable pictorial fare which takes a lengthy unfolding on the screen. “Fox Trot Finesse” is a genuine laughter maker, and the Pathe Gazette brings things up to date. A drama of exceptional power has been selected for next week’s star item, entitled “Stolen Goods,” a Lasky story brimful of absorbing episodes and striking scenes. A good varied budget will accompany the main film. KING’S THEATRE. Picture lovers always look for something good at King’s Theatre, and they get full measure each week. “The Only Son,” produced by the famous Players Company, concerns the doings of an inventor who becomes a millionaire. He sells his secret to his father, who had previously disowned him and his mother, and complications eventually sort themselves out with domestic happiness restored. Next week’s drawing card will be “Stolen
Goods,” a three-act Lasky production, with Blanche Sweet in the lead.ng role. Supporting it are “Departure of the 9th Reinforcements,” “Genoa, Italy” (scenic), “Welcome to Bohemian Tea” (Wally Vane and Edwinne Roberts), and the Pathe Gazette. The orchestra is by no means the least of the attractions offered at King’s.
