Mr. H. O. Mathias, a well-known follower of racing in these parts, became an owner at the Alexandra Talk thoroughbred sale, and the yearling colts by Birkenhead from Lady Helen and by Finland from Trebelli have been placed under G. Reid’s care at Ellerslie. The two-year-old by Carl Rosa from The Officer mare Energy has also gone into the same trainer’s hands.
