TURF RESULTS.

DANNEVIRKE RACING CLUB. STEEPLECHASE MEETING. The Dannevirke Racing Club’s steeplechase meeting was held on Wednesday on the Tamaki racecourse, in fine weather. The racing on the whole was interesting. There were only four starters in the steeplechase, which resulted in an easy victory for Glenmore by 15 lengths after leading all the way. Sportsman and Appin both lost their riders. The former was remounted by J. Hercock, and completed the course, getting third money. The totalisator handled £12,594, compared with £11,280 last year.
