At the Thames a return match was played between the South Auckland and Thames representatives, the former team winning by 6 points to 3,
after an exciting game. For South Auckland Black scored a try and kicked a penalty goal, while Hyde also kicked a penalty goal. Hayward and Molloy notched tries for Thames. At Whangarei the Hokianga representatives defeated Whangarei by 16 points to 11. For the winners tries were, obtained by Toku (2), and Cheriton (2),- two of which were converted by T. Clarke. Whangarei’s score was made up of a try secured by James and converted by Beamish, and two penalty goals. At Coromandel the local representatives beat Kuaotunu ’by 8 points to nil. For Coromandel McGuinness and Wells each secured a try, one of which was converted by Kneebone.
The No. 1 Garrison team journeyed to Pukekohe on Saturday, where they met and defeated the Franklin junior representatives by 3 points to nil. Wilding scored the only try of the match.
At the Franklin senior team suffered defeat: at':the hands of theWaiuku fifteen.. tq.. the tune,., of, • 5 points, to 3.,/ . For.t'Waiuku Knight scored a .try,'- which was -converted by Reeves, while Cranson scored a try ipr -. .
