The A and B match under Northern Union rules which was played on Mr. Eagleton’s ground at Epsom, was won by the A’s by 22 points to 8. For the A team tries were scored by Seagar, Mackrell, Jackson, Winters, (Carlaw 2), Bradburn converting two. For the B team Neighbour scored and converted a try, and South also scored. After the match the selector, Mr." W. T. Wynyard, chose the following to represent Auckland against Taranaki at New Plymouth to morrow (Thursday:)— Fullback: Chorley. Threequarters: Asher, Woodward, Neighbour, Carlaw. Five-eighths; Jackson. Half-back: J. R. Wynyard. Forwards: Mackrell, Griffin, Bradburn, Wells, Tyler, Seagar. Emergencies: Winters (forward), Smith (back).
