KILLED’ BY SIX TO ONE.
In the Texas (U.S.A.) Senate the judiciary committee No. 2 killed by a vote of six to one the Senate bill providing for the establishment of statually prohibition in Texas. This effectually terminates that feature of the prohibition fight in the Texas legislature, but it still leaves the State wide prohibition submission bill pending, which is being vigorously debated in the Senate, and the bill providing that no liquor shall be sold within ten miles of any school house pending in the House.
