INTER-CLUB MATCHES. Inter-club matches were in full swing on Saturday and some good play was seen, although the courts were a little dead after the rain. The results were as follows: — WEST END (24) v. AUCKLAND (0). A Men’s Doubles: Paterson and Upton (West End) beat Hudson and Milne (Auckland), 6 —l, 6—2. A Combined Doubles: Dr. H. Keith and Miss Gray (West End) beat Porter and Miss Mace (Auckland), 6 —2. 6—3. A Ladies’ Doubles: Miss Williams and Mrs. Cooper (West End) beat Mrs. Allen and Miss Woodroffe (Auckland), 6 —4, 6 —2. B Men’s Doubles: Baker and Morpeth (West End) beat Warner and Palethorpe (Auckland). 6 —2, 6 —4. B Ladies’ Doubles: Misses Utting and F. Bagnall (West End) beat Misses Butters and Williamson (Auckland), 6 —4, 6 —o. B Combined Doubles: Hickson and Miss V. Bagnall (West End) beat H. Snelling and Mlle. Coche (Auckland), 6—2. 6—2. EDEN AND EPSOM (16) V. PARNELL (8). B Men: A. S. C. Brown and Mair (Eden and Epsom) beat Le Sieur and Mowbray (Parnell), 6—l, 6—5. A Ladies: Misses Nicholson and G. Gorrie (Eden and Epsom) beat Mrs. Freeman and Miss Cook (Parnell), 6—4. 6—2. B Combined: Simpson and Miss Davy (Parnell) beat W. A. Brown and Miss I. Walker (Eden and Epsom), 6—4, 3—6, 6—3. A Men: Grossman and Heather (Eden and Epsom) beat Grigson and Cook (Parnell). 6 —2, 4 —6, 6 —4. B Ladies: Mrs. Mair and Miss P. Gorrie (Eden and Epsom) beat Misses Steele and Walker, 6 —o, 6 —2. A Combined: Hunt and Miss Cooper (Parnell) beat Billing and Miss Buttle ■, ...ten and Epsom). 4 —6, 6 —5, 6—3. The Taranaki tournament proved a great success, although the nal day’s play was somewhat marred by rain. The results were as follows: — Championship: Wilding; Championship Doubles: H. A. Parker and H. W. Brown; Championship Combined. Doubles: Miss Nunnelly and Wilding; Ladies’ Singles Championship: Miss Nunnelly; Ladies’ Doubles Championship; Mrs. Payne and Miss Nunnelly; Men's Handicap Singles: L. Jennings; Men’s Handicap Doubles: Jennings and Coplen. Ladies’ Handicap Singles: Miss Brewster; Ladies’ Handicap Doubles: Misses Simpson and Cave; Second Grade Men’s Singles: Frater.
