THE AGRICULTURAL SHOW.
The Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Assoc'ation’s annual show at Alexand: a Park promises to be about the most successful ever held, which is saying" much. Every season it seems to advance in popularity until it is fast becoming, instead of formerly, something of a rep'oach, well worthy or the great city of the North. Preparations in connection with the November show are in a forward state, and judging by the entries being received this year’s exhibition proomises to be a record one. General entries close on November 14, and dairy factory managers should note that entries for the butter-grading points competition in connection with the Winter Show also close on that date.
Queen Anne is dead. This does not refer to that good lady who once occupied the Throne of England, and •concerning whose decease we have frequently heard, but the Messrs. Duder Bros.’ weU-known brood mare Queen Anne, the dam of La Reina.
