FIRST DAY. Beautiful weather was experienced for the first day of the D.J.C. Spring Meeting. The attenounce was fair, though not quite up to expectations, for which to some extent a not toe suitable train service may be accountable. The sum of £4 007 was put through the totalisator, as compared with £3715 10s last year. The results were as follows: — SPRING HURDLES. One and a-half miles.
