PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB’S SPORTS.
On Saturday the Pakuranga Hunt Club will bring off the annual sports neeting at Alexandra Park The secretaries and committee have teei. working hard to make the gathering a successful one, and in the event of fine weather there seems every prospect of this being the case. For the convenience of sportsmen a number of extra trams will be run out to the Park. Hunter’s Band will help to enliven matters. The first race starts at 1.30 p.m., and a programme of six events will be run through. The following horses may run well at the meeting:— Farmers’ Flat, Terence; Hunters’ Hurdles, Aesop; Open Handicap, Lord Seaton; Hunters’ Steeplechase, Aesop; Farmers’ Hurdles, Flower of Gold; Ladies’ Bracelet, Lancet. The following are the handicaps:— FARMERS’ HANDICAP FLAT RACE.— Pukerimu 12.0, Terence 12.0, Kaitangata 11.7, Cannoneer 11.0, Charlie 11.0, Tuakitua 11.0. HUNTERS’ HURDLE RACE. — Aesop 11.10, Lancet (late, Clyde) 11.7, Mozart 11.4, Bryan O’Lynn 10.7. OPEN HANDICAP.—Iean 9.10. Bleskin 3.0, Uhlander 8.0, New Boy 8.0, Lord t-'ep-ton 7.12, Fortification 7.12.
