THE LEAGUE PATRIOTIC SPORTS MEETING.

On Saturday last, at the Domain, the Auckland Cycling Club held a successful carnival in aid of the patriotic fund. Considering the number of strong counter attractions, there was a good attendance, and although a heavy wind somewhat interfered with the racing, the spectators were furnished with some of the best contests seen on the Domain. Ken Lewis was advertised to compete, but for some reason did not do so. It was a disappointment, and patrons will |be getting tired of these “draws.” Mr Eyre is to be complimented on his successful handicapping, Mr White on his starting. Ths Reynolds Brothers again showed up prominently, and J. B. O’Sullivan rode in great form in the handicap races. The following are the cycling results :— Maiden Amateur Handicap. —T.
