Variety Company.
The World’s Trio and American Novelty Co. will open for a short season in the Opera House on Monday next. The company have had a most succcessful season down south, where they have been playing in Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin, and the provincial towns. The company includes twenty artists:— including that favourite comedian Mr Charles Fanning, who made such a hit a few months ago in Auckland, Miss Georgie Devoe, the Vital Spark Crawford, and Mooney, champion high kickers of the world. Mr Mooney is a native of Auckland, and was educated at the Auckland College. Natives of Auckland ought to roll up and give their townsman a cordial welcome on his appearance here. There are a host of other artists and novelties, and a bumper house ought to greet the company’s first appearance here. Mr Duncan, the agent, is now in town to make arrangements for the opening. . . - ' ■
