lIAWEBA, September 20. Dance. The last of Hie jolly little subscription dances held this winter took place in the J'oresters* Hall last Friday evening, and was pronounced just as enjoyable as the previous ones. Some of those present were: Airs .Moore, black and white striped silk, black cloak; Mrs Rainc, black charmeuse, red coat; Mrs AlcDiarmid, white ninon, with touches of pink; Airs Page, blue Ottoman silk, trimmed with brown fur; Airs F. Parkinson, grey velvet, with Oriental trimming on corsage; Airs R. Ale Lean, grey charmeuse, overdress of grey embroidered ninon; Airs Suisted, heliotrope satin; Airs St. Hill, cream charmeuse. Princess robe, sequined trimming on corsage; Airs Holder, cream cliarmeuse, with ninon, tunic; Airs Wallace, pink ninon, trimmed with wide guipure insertion; Airs Webster, cream crepe de chine, trimmed with lace and pearls; Aliss Williamson, white satin, with ninon tunic edged with green fringe; Aliss Reilly, cream net over satin: Aliss (’. Personal. Miss Brett (Auckland) is paying a short visit to friends here. Mrs W. Glenn has returned to her
home in Wanganui. Mrs Wallace is spending a few days with her sister, Mrs Renuell, in Stratford.
Mrs Parkinson (New Plymouth) spent a lew days here on her way to Palmerston North, where she has gone on a visit to her mother, Mrs Coutts. Aliss (’mitts has also returned to her home.
Mr and Mrs Caplen are spending a holiday in Te Arolia.
