NAPIER.
September 14. Bulb Show. Last Wednesday and Thursday the spring flower show was held in St. Augustine’s Hall, and was a great success. The bulbs were particularly fine this year and, massed together on the tables, round the room, made a wonderful show of colour. The decorated mantel pieces were very effective, and one done in blue and white flowers with a background of delicate green secured first prize. The decorated tables were placed down the middle of the room, and were charming. The show was officially opened by Bishop Averill. Among those present I noticed Mrs. Averill, Mrs. Tuke, Mrs. .J. IL Coleman, Mrs. Herbert Coleman, Mrs. Mayne, Mrs. Russell Duncan, Mrs. T. 11. Lowry, Mrs. Peacock, Mrs. W. Dinwiddie, Mrs. Gould, Mrs. Bernard Chambers (Havelock), Mrs. Dennett, Mrs. T. Cato, Mrs. Sydney Riddle, Mrs. Edgar, Mrs. Knight (Dannevirke), Mrs. Dixon, Mrs. George Warren, (Te Auto), Miss Sutton, Mrs. Troutbeck, Mrs. Ewen Troutbeck, Mrs. Tyler, Mrs. Hunter Brown, Miss Hunter Brown (Wairoa), Mrs. Beecham, Miss Twigg, Mrs. W.
