Fookes, navy coat and skirt, becoming black feather toque; Mrs Malone, blue dress, black hat with blue trimmings; Mrs Porritt, shepherd’s plaid gown, recherche black and white hat; Mrs Raikes, black cloth costume, black chiffon toque; Mrs Johnstone, heather tweed coat and skirt, pretty coloured straw hat with black bows; Mrs Stubbs, navy braided costume, black hat with wings; Mrs Rennell, mole velvet, point, de Venice yoke, large putty coloured straw hat trailed with blue heatherbells; Mrs Crawslraw, navy blue costume, burnt straw hat, trimmed with black silk and Virginian red petals; Mrs Richards, marine green velvet, trimmed with Pairs lace, picturesque black hat with feathers and jet; Mrs Ghinchin, grey costume, large white Tuscan straw hat with smart black trimmings; Mrs Copping, Mrs Anderson. Mrs Dingle;-Miss O’Brien, dove-grey voile, hat trimmed same shade of .ribbon; Miss Fussell, blue -costume, hat with wings to match; Miss Wake, aeroplane Tosca net over blue satin, floral hat of Tuscan straw and pink roses; Miss Peerless (Nelson), .heather tweed costume, leather attachments. becoming beaver hat with gold ornamentations; Miss Black, Miss Anderson, Miss Mackay, and Miss D. Mackay; Miss Onbell,- cream serge Russian cosliwne, smart blue hat. At Home. Mrs Copping was “At Home” to a few friends on Friday afternoon, among whom were: —Mrs Anderson, Mrs T. C. Fookes, Mrs Glasgow, Mrs Raikes, Mrs Stubbs, Mrs Crawshaw, Mrs RenncW, Mrs Johnstone, Mrs Mora nt Bailey, Mrs Porritt, Misses Anderson, Peerless (Nelson), Bayly (Kaikoura). Personal. Mrs Alan Rennell entertained a few friends at bridge on Friday evening.

Mr G. 1.. Cooke, late district engineer, is visiting Stratford. Miss> Bailey (Kiiikoma) is stopping with her sister, Mrs Copping. Mrs Ganlt and Mrs Hislop (Inglewood) were visitors to Stratford on Thursday.
