ges&, Dr. Paterson, Nurse Edwards. Messrs Rutherford, Hunter and Edwards. Personal. Sirs Paterson, Otago, is visiting her daughter. Dr. Paterson, at Waitohi House. Miss Belie Masefield, youngest daughter of Mrs Masefield. Manaroa, Pelorus {sound. is to be married to Mr Oswald, bf Seddon. in about a fortnight. The marriage ceremony is to be performed in Holy Trinity Church, Pkt on, by the tßev. T. J. Smith. Bishop Mules (Nelson) was a visitor to Pieton this week. Mr It- McCallum. Blenheim, announces jthat he will contest the Wairau seat at the next general election Mr Dan Love, of Waikawa, also an Inounces that he intends to contest, the Southern electorate against Mr T. Pakata. the sitting member. Mr Gordon Maitland has been appointed the Picton representative on the Assessment Board for Marlborough. Miss Philpotts has returned from a fortnight’s visit to Mrs George Seymour St “Burleigh,” Blenheim. Mr and Mrs C. Scott, of the Bank of J<ew Zealand, Gore, are on a visit to Pieton, staying with Mr and Mrs Baillie at the Bank of New Zealand. Mrs Nicol, Taranaki-street, has returned from a short visit to the North Island. News has been received in Pieton of the safe arrival in England of I.ieut.-Col. and Mrs D’Arcy Chaytor. and Miss Frankes Chaytor. Mr and Mrs Wallace, who have been for a long visit to friends in Christfehureh, returned home yesterday. Miss Chaytor, Waik*<wa. who has been hfe Marshlands for some time, is in Picion for a few days.
