BECKETT—BAGNALL. G / F VERY pretty wedding was solemf I nised in the Victoria Hall, Tit--4 J Ji rua, 011 Tuesday, 18th October, when Miss Ella, eldest daughter of Mr. R. W. Bagnall, of “Linton,” Turua, was married to Mr. Cecil Beckett, of Te Araroa, East Coast. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. W. R. Woolley, uncle of the bride. The bride was attended by her sisters, Misses Shirley and Edith Bagnall, Mr. E. V. Quick acting as best man, and Mr. S. W. Bagnall, brother of the bride, as groomsman. The bride wore a very dainty gown jbf cream charmeuse, with the customary veil and orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful bouquet of "watsonias and orange blossoms. The bridesmaids wore very pretty white muslin gowns, and carried bouquets of blue Argentine pea and asparagus fern. The hall was filled with guests •and others interested in the happy event. MUNRO—STIRLING. The Napier Cathedral was well filled on Wednesday afternoon on the occasion of the marriage of Miss Sarah Mary Katherine Stirling and the Rev. Hine Phi-Munro, both of whom are well known in connection with Maori work in this district. The service was a full choral one, and the Rev. F. W. ChatIterton, of Te Ran College, Gisborne, presided at the organ. The ceremony was performed by the Bishop of Waiapu, assisted by Bishop Williams and the Rev. F. A. Bennett. The bride, who was given away by Mohi Te Atahikoia, chief of the Pahipaki natives, wore a gown of white silk voile, with veil and orange blossom, and carried a lovely bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. and Mere Hall, were dainti' attired, the former in a lilac gown ith white hat trimmed with sprays o lilac and black velvet, the latter in wite muslin and white hat trimmed withpink roses and black velvet. Mr. Whet Werohi t, of Te Aute College, was ties’ man. As the bride left the church, se wore a lovely Maori tnat across heishoulders. After the ceremony a reeption was given to the newly-marric pair Iby* Bishop and Mrs. Averil at Bhopscourt, at which a number of native from the various settlements in Hake's Bay were present.

KNIGHT—HINDMABH. A wedding of great interd was solemnised at All Saints' Chiirel Taradale, on November 2, when Mr. Alhur Bower Knight, eldest son of Mr. WF. Knight, of Tahorite, was married tcMiss Barbara Adelaide Hindmarsh, t rd daughter of Mr. John Hindmarsh, f Ngawiro, “Green Meadows.” The Kr. Edward Robertshaw, uncle of the ridegroom, assisted by the Rev. A. I. Clarke, performed the ceremony. Tlubride, who was given away by her fatsr, wore a lovely gown of soft white sail and pearl trimming, with veil and orate blossom, and carried a beautiful shovr bouquet. She was attended by her siers, Misses Meg and Cicely Hindmars and Miss Mary Tweed, of Wellington as bridesmaids, attired in white sill with chiffon overskirts, black hats liul with pink anil turned up with (jink ros, and carried bouquets of pink cantions and sweet peas. Mr. Dudley Tne, of Wellington. was best man, wile Messrs. Wilfred Knight and St. JohnlTindmarsh, acted as groomsmen. The weling guests were afterwards entertainedit the residence of the bride’s parents.
