October 7. Tennis Party. Mr. and Mrs. J. Conolly entertained a number of friends on Saturday aftermoon at Springlands at a tennis party. The lawn was in excellent order, and many people enjoyed the game of tennis, •whilst others wandered through the .pretty garden. Some of those present '-were: Mesdames Woods, Wolferstein, 3. ■ The Spring Meeting of the Marlboreugh Racing Club opened on Wednesday at Riverlands, and although the weather in the morning was not too promising, yit turned out a perfect day. The at'tendance was not so good as usual.
