A FAMOUS ENGLISH CARNIVAL—COWES REGATTA. Cowes Regatta is the biggest nautical carnival in England. What Henley is to the fresh water scullers, Cowes is to the yachts man. The presence of the Royal yachts (in centre of picture) and the Fleet brings all Society to the day's outing, for which the Solent, running between the mainland and the Isle of Wight, has been long famous.
