For a short while, just before he left the Dominion. Bishop Selwyn lived at Bishopscourt. He lived for a considerable time at "The Deanery." in St. Stephen’s-avenue. Just opposite BishopsThe tower was erected to house the peal of bells (which are now in St. Matthew's) presented to Bishop Selwyn by Lord Powis. Next to the tower is the library, and the cross marks the chapel.
