Chinese Pirates. has been received of an attack by pirates on a Chinese junk in Johore waters, Malay Peninsula. The crew of tie junk were hacked to pieces with knives, the pirates toughing at the seveaaes of the victims. The junk was then looted of valuables. Irrigating Mesopotamia. Sir William Willcocks. the great {negation expert. has completed preliminary surreys and the taking of levels in lower Mesopotamia. and will report to the Government of Turkey on the practicability of iccoustnaeting the ancient irrigation system of the Tigris.
