Saints’ Ladies' Guild was held in the Agricultural Hall on Wednesday afternoon and evening. Fitzherbert, assisted by the Misses D. Waldegrave. D. Tripe, D. Humphries, and others; tea stall, Mrs Palmer, and a small army of willing assistants; Mrs L. A. Abraham and Mrs Mel Isop were mainly responsible for the perfect way everything was managed. The decorative classes attracted a large number of entries. For the table decorations, Mrs J. P. Innes came first with 61 votes, and Miss McLennan second with 32 votes. Prettiest mantelpiece, Miss Edith .Wilson, first, 66 votes; and Mrs I ’G.' W.’Keeling, second, 65 votes. In the evening there was a most attractive programme. A minuet and a gavotte, danced by a bevy of girls i dressiSd in the period of Charles’. fq was greatly, admired by the large crowd present; The Misses Wilson, M. Abraham, Sybil Abraham, Sylvia Abraham, I. O’Brien, M. Monro, L. Lyons, G. Moore, W. Watson, P. Keeling, A. Barnicoat, and K. Barber were those taking part. Songs were given by Mrs Broad and Messrs Rogers and Spencer Watson. A quintet sang the gavotte from “The Gondoliers” as an accompaniment to one of the dances. Abraham, Warburton, and Miss Mclxuman qualified for the ladies' championship. The ladies' bogey competition, played on Saturday morning, resulted in a win for Mrs Innes. Mesdames Mellsop, L. A. Abraham, Porritt, and Cohen all tied for second place. Of the juniors, Miss Warburton came first, Mrs 11. Waldegrave second, and Mrs W. L. Fitzherbert third.
