Dear Bee, May 23. A TITLED SONG AFTERNOON TEA took tin- form of Miss Ethel Leatham’s At Home last Thursday afternoon, and very enjoyable it was. It was, however, somewhat different when confronted with some thirty questions, to be answered with the name of a song. But isn’t it strange, although so easy, one's mind is a perfect blank when reading a card full of such questions? Misses Mac Diarmid and Jamison (Christchurch) tied for the first prizes, and Miss Geraldine Kyngdo won the booby. During the afternoon Miss Constance Leatham played some charming selections on the piano and violin, with exquisite taste, and Miss Leatham’s vocal items were sweetly rendered, her voice being shown to a great advantage in her selections. Delicious afternoon tea was served, both in the dining-room and drawingroom. Amongst those present were—Mrs Leatham, wearing a pretty chocolate brown crepe de chine, skirt banded with strappings of narrow brown silk, cream lace yoke, outlined with same; Miss Leatham looked extremely Well in a dainty frock of cream striped eolienne, over glace, deep lace yoke, finisher! with shoulder straps and folded silk belt; Miss Constance Leatham, pretty pale blue crepe de chine frock, relieved with frills of cream lace; Miss Keitha Leatham looker!
