Hawke’s Bay Amateur Boxing Association holds a championship meeting on June 15th, when Tim Tracy, of Wellington, meets Nat Williams, of Palmerston North, in the light weight division, and Jim Lucas meets Walter Fell in' the middleweights division.

A largely attended meeting on May 20, formed the Hawke’s Bay Coursing Club with a strong membership. The first of the Olympic contests to conclude resulted in a win for America, Mr. Jay Gould winning the “real” tennis championship. A number of German burgomasters have arrived in England on a visit, returning that of the British Mayors’ to the German Empire.
