On October 23 the Shaw Savill steam er Matatua (which arrived in Auckland last week) when off (’apetown fell in with the Greenock steamer Haversham Grange, bound fro’m New \ ork io Australia. which was on fire. The Matatua took off the crew and landed them at (a|H*town. The Haversham Grange was completely destroyed, the loss on vessel and cargo being about £31)0.000.
