GILMOUR—TEED.

The pretty church of St. Mary's. New Plymouth, was the scene of an exceedingly dainty wedding on Wednesday, August 22, when Miss Alice Teed, youngest daughter of Mr David Teed ,senr., was married to Mr Evera-rd R. C. Gilmour. The Rev. F. G. Evans conducted the marriage service. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired in a. creation of cream chiffon taffetas, the bodice being richly fronted with fluted bells of silk and lace, and trimmed with tiny loops of goffered silk ribbon, short puff sleeves finished with pleated chiffon and lace, while the skirt was appliqued with raised French knots. A beautiful silk embroidered family veil, over a crown of orange blossoms completed this charming toilette. The bride carried a lovely shower bouquet of hyacinths, freesias, clematis, and maidenhair fern, presented by Mrs Clem Webster, and wore a large cameo brooch, set in gold, an heirloom, and a ring set with rubies and diamonds, the gifts of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids, Miss Emily Renell (chief) and Miss Kate Hall wore charming frocks of pale blue panuiere muslins over glace the bodices being draped with a berthe of Limerick lace and silk with tueked chiffon yokes, white crinoline straw hats trimmed with white and shaded pink roses, and carried dainty shower bouquets made by Miss Lucy Skinner. The bridegroom’s gifts to the bridesmaids were. pretty pearl crescent brooches. Mr J. Fleming acted as bestman, and Mr Walter Weston as groomsman After the ceremony the bridal party drove to the residence of the bride’s parents where they were entertained at a wedding breakfact. In a large marquee on the lawn the repast was arranged, and suspended from the canopy was a floral bell (made by Mrs Fred Watson), beneath which the bride and bridegroom were seated.
