Dear Bee, " March 23. X.ast week Mrs. Biss gave •A SMALL AFTERNOON TEA. ’ - in honour of Mrs. H, Marsack, of Auek* land, who has been staying in Wanganui with relations. Amongst those present were: Mesdames D’Arcy, Brettargli, Dodgshun, Gordon, Blundell, Marsack (Auckland), Greenwood, Biss, Misses Dodgshun. Best. Gilfillan (Auckland), and others. . - > • On Saturday afternoon a tea was given by Mrs. Gifford-Marshall, at the CAMPBELLrSTREET TENNIS COURTS. The tournaments arc almost finished. Some of the finals ought to be played off this week. Amongst those X noticed on the lawn were: Misses Stanford, IL Antlerson, E. Anderson, Darley, Burk's (Hawke’s Bay), Barnicoat (2), Liffiton, Dodgshun. Rawson, Richmond, Mrs. Gonville, Saunders. Messrs. Izard, Davies, G. Anderson, Fairburn, Atkinson, Hardwicke Lomas, Harold, W. Stewart, Anderson, Dr. Wall and others. lost week the Campbell-street- Lawn Tennis Club sent a team of players t®
Pa tea. The players were: Mrs. A. Izard, Misses - Hawkeu,. O. ■ Anderson, Darley, O. Stanford Meskis.'Harold ‘tdnuu Atkinson, Davies, and Hardwicke. The Patea Club proved much too strong, winning easily by 141 games to 97.
