The Return of the Chignon.
In France the chignon has assumed definite form, but it is as different from the heavy, ungraceful arrangement of loops and coils with which our mothers were placidly content as the transformation to the wig of long ago. It moans, however, that supplementary hair is required, and it takes a variety of different forms. In some instances the. hair is parted down the middle and turned loosely back on either side, with n shower of soft little curls in addition to coils at the back. In others there are two distinct rouleaux, in front, and the hair is dressed very low.
