Dear Bee, June I<>. A successful ball was given last week in the Foresters’ Hall by Mr Basil Cotferill and Mr Murray, as a farewell to their friends in Nap : er. for they are having very shortly. They were indefatigable in endeavouring to secure the enjoyment of their guests, and their ellorts were undoubtedly crowned with success. The chaperones were Mesdames A. A. Kennedy. Baxter and W. Cato. The Theatre Royal was well filled on Wednesday night, when a varied entertainment was given by Mr Percy Denton. assisted by local amateurs. Songs were rendered with great taste by Mr Denton. Mr S. Richardson and Miss Adele King. Herr Sehnuinn gave soma clever violin solos, and Mr T. E. Macassey recited "Lasca” and "Together.” Amongst those present in the audience were—Mesdanies Stedman. Henley, Kettle. .McLean. C'ornford, Tanner. Riddell. Bowen. Edgar. Misses Burke. Williams. McLernon, Kennedy, Seale, ete. MARJORIE.
