Dear Ree, February 10. Mr Harold Gregson, organist of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, is leaving f<»r England very shortly. On Friday evening last he was entertained by the choir at a FAREWELL SOCIAL. when the opportunity was taken of introducing Mr Chadwick, the new choirmaster. Song* were given during the evening by Miss Scheel, Mr Gritl'en, and Mr Gregson. Mr Gregson was presented by the choir with a pair of gold sleeve-links as a token of their esteem. AN INTERESTING TENNIS MATCH was played on the Hastings Courts last Saturday afternoon, between teams representing the Hastings and Napier Tennis ( tubs. The match was won by Napier by 19 sets to 17—210 games to 198. The Napier players were Misses Hiiidmarch, Burke. Nunneley, Rutherford, Nevill. Fannin. Messrs Bradley. Logan. Dixon. Dinwiddle. Balharrv. and Marg-dioutli. Misses Beatson. ‘ Williams, Wtdlwood, R. Wellwood, Scale, Brathwaite, Messrs Tipping, Fenwieke, F/bbett. Webber, Crump and Symonds comprised the team chosen to piav for Hastings. THE NAPIER LAWN TENNIS C HURTS have attracted a large number of players and spectators during the past few weeks. Noticeable amongst them were Mi s Hiil, iu a pretty pink muslin dress, trimmed with cream lace; her sister, in white: Miss McLernon. pink zephyr costume. large white hat with blue ribbons; Miss Nevill. cream spotted muslin. hat trimmed with red: Mrs Moore, pale blue linen with cream lace on the bodice; Miss Burke, holland costume, burnt straw hat with pink roses; Mrs I’harazyn. in grey; Mrs Stedman, lavender voile, white toque with feathers; Miss Panniii, holland blouse, dark skirt, hat trimmed with pale blue; Miss Hindniarsh. dainty white muslin dress; Miss Nunneley, light blouse, dark skirt; Miss Ileses. pale blue linen; Miss Rutherford fawn dress, hat trimmed with red

flowers.
