FOOTBALL.

FANCY COSTUME MATCH. A fancy costume football match promoted by the North Shore District Chib was held on the football ground, Devonport, on Saturday afternoon, the proceeds being in aid of the training shed funds. The teams were dressed as Russians and Japanese, and the game was a scramble. There was a satisfactory attendance, anti the funds benefited to the extent of about £3O. The Russians- were represented by Ihe following:—-McClusky, W. Wynyard, Woodward, A. Mays, Graham, McDonald, A. Wells, Gerrard, Yooland, Peacock, Warbrick, Buchanan, Bailey, Fergusson, and Ensor: and the Japanese by C. Wells, Mc--I‘eek. Miller, A. Williams. R. Adams. Fogerty, Orpwood, Haro, Barlow, R. Wynyard, Chester, Durance, Wells, J. Parkes, and Spin ley.
