THE CRATER LAKE, WAIMAUNGA VALLEY, IN 1887.
This very interesting picture of the now fa nons Waimaunga Vallvy was taken in 1887, the year after the great erputian. There was no geyser then Indeed, the camera by which this picture was taken was placed on the very site of the present geyser.
