TWO ‘GEOGRAPHY’ GAMES.
There are two ‘ geography ’ games which are interesting as well as amusing. In one, two leaders are chosen, who in their turn choose an equal number of players, thus dividing the company into two sides. Leader number One calls out the name of a country or town beginning with the letter A, and then rapidly counts ten. Leader number Two replies with another, beginning with A, and also counts ten, and so on until one fails. The leader on the gaining side then chooses a person from the losing side to join his party. They then begin with the letter B, and so on. The leaders are prompted by their respective parties. In the other ' geography ’ game the players form into a circle, or into two sides, as before. One of them throws a handkerchief, calling out the name of a country or town, such as ‘Greenland.’ The one challenged must reply, before ten is counted, with a name beginning with the last letter of the place mentioned, such as Dunedin. If he fails, the winning side may choose one from the losing side.
