Missing Friends.

Alice Blanet, Irish, about 27 or 28 years, about sft. 7in., about list. 71bs., medium build, dark brown c< mplexion, dark brown hair, stubbly whiskers, beard and moustache of same colour, dressed in shirt and moleskin trousers, had been drinking heavily; left Turton’s, Ashburton, at 3 a.m., on the 12th July, 1874, with only the above dress on, and has not since been seen.

Wanted, the whereabouts of Christian Jensen Osterild, who sailed from Copenhagen on the 16th May, 1872, and arrived in Lyttelton on the 30th August, 1872. He is believed to be a native of Thisted, in Denmark, and to have engaged with Mr. Heed of Westerfield Station, Ashburton, on the 16th September, 1872, but is now said to be working for Mr. Tripp, Peel Forest, Geraldine. Every inquiry should be made, and information forwarded to the Commissioner of Police, Christchurch.
