V 1 REVIEW OF CHARGES Jjnder the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1947, and confirmed in the Land Act, 1948, ex-servicemen settled on Crown development blocks were given the right to apply to the Land Settlement Board for a review of their Charges Hot earlier than three years nor latter than six years after the commencement of their lease or the date on which they took title. As at the 31st March, 1950, approximately 450 of these ex-servicemen were eligible to apply, and the following schedule gives details of the applications filed and disposed of during the year

The ex-servicemen if not satisfied with the decision of the Land Settlement Board liave a right of appeal to the Land Valuation Court, and the following schedule summarizes the appeals lodged during the year : - V
