- ' • Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives Thursday, the 27th Day of June, 1946 Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to whom shall stand referred, after the first reading, all Bills affecting or in any way relating to the lands of the Crown, or education or other public reserves ; the Committee to have power to recommend such amendments therein as it thinks proper, and to report generally, when necessary, upon the principles and provisions of the Bill: the Committee to consist of Mr. Corbett, Mr. Cullen, Mr. Gerard, Mr. Gordon, Mr. Kidd, Mr. Langstone, Mr. Meachen, Mr. Walls, Mr. Williams, and the Mover."—(Hon. Mr. Skinner.) Tuesday, the Bth Day of October, 1946 Ordered, " That the Lands Committee have leave to sit during the present sitting of the House." —(Mr. Meachen.) Memoranda for the Chairman of the. Lands Committee : The Bill intituled the Christchurch Domains Board and Christchurch City Empowering Act, 1946, stands referred to the Lands Committee for report. (31st July, 1946.) " The Bill intituled the Christchurch City Empowering Act (No. 2), 1946, stands referred to the Lands Committee for report. (21st August, 1946.) The Bill intituled the Waimakariri Harbour Act, 1946, stands referred to the Lands Committee for report. (30th August, 1946.)
