No. 274.—Petition of J. Nicholson and Another, of Taranaki. Praying for compensation for enforced sale of land and destruction of stock following an outbreak of Johne's disease. I have the honour to report that in the opinion of the Committee the petition should be referred to the Government for most favourable consideration. B. Roberts, Chairman. 22nd October, 1936.
Special Report. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee desires to place on record its appreciation of the efficient and impartial manner in which the Chairman, Mr. Roberts, has conducted the business of the Committee during the present session; and further desires that a resolution to this effect be recorded in the minutes of the Committee, and be reported to the House. Final Report. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee, consisting of ten members, has held five meetings during the session, and the average attendance of members has been seven.
