Registrations. There were registered during the past year fifteen new branches, as follows : —M.U,1.0.0.F. : Birkenhead Lodge (Auckland District). 1.0.0. F. : Rata Rebekah Lodge, Tokomaru Bay Lodge, Te Kaponga Rebekah Lodge, Rose of Wellington Rebekah Lodge, Pride of Dargaville Lodge, Elm Rebekah Lodge, Kahuranaki Rebekah Lodge, Heretaunga Lodge. A.O.F. : Court Julius (Wellington District). U.A.O.D. : Mewburn Lodge, Whareroa Lodge (Grand Lodge of the North Island of New Zealand). H.A.C.B.S. :St Peter's Branch (Wairoa), St. Dominic's Branch (Dunedin). G.U.0.0.F. : Star of Lower Hutt Branch. There were also two isolated friendly societies registered. The following registrations were cancelled by request:—M.U.l.O.O.F. : Opunake Lodge (Taranaki District). A.O.F. : Court Karamea (Nelson District). 1.0. R. : Pride of Dannevirke Tent, Renwick Tent, Taylor Memorial Tent (New Zealand Central District). The following amalgamation was registered : —A.O.F. : Court Charleston with Court Royal Oak (Nelson District). The following changes of name were approved :—P.A.F.S.A. : " Excelsior Lodge " to " Loyal Excelsior Lodge." I.F.S. : " The Auckland Tramways Sick and Accident Friendly Society " to " The Auckland City Tramways Club." Progress Division, S.D.T., was converted into a branch of the National Division of New Zealand, S.D.T. The position of the orders in respect of registration is shown by the following summary as at the beginning and end of 1924 : —

The list of societies and branches on the register as at the end of 1923 as published last year should be amended in accordance with the above changes. Rules. The rules of forty-five societies and branches came under revision in one form or another for amendment during 1924. Complete Amendments of Rules registered. Complete amendments were registered during the year, viz.:— M.U.1.0.0.F.—Wellington District; Auckland District; Addington Lodge (North Canterbury District). I.O.O.F.—Grand Lodge of New Zealand. A.O.F. —Court City of Auckland (not in any district). G.U.0.0.F. —The Grand United Order of Oddfellows, Friendly Society of New Zealand. I.F.S.—The Auckland City Tramways Club ; Pukemiro Medical Society. W.M.C. —Christchurch Working-men's Club and Mutual School of Arts; South Wairarapa Working-men's Club ; Auckland Working-men's Club and Mechanics' Institute. Partial Amendments of Rules registered. Partial amendments for the following were made : — M.U.1.0.0.F.--Masterton Lodge, Britannia^Lodge, Newtown Lodge (Wellington District); Howard Lodge, Nelson Lodge (Nelson District); Abbotsford Lodge, Hastings Lodge, Ruahine Lodge (Hawke's Bay District) ; Good Intent Lodge, Hamilton Lodge (Auckland District); Manawatu Lodge, Rangitikei Lodge, Wanganui Lodge (Wanganui District); Kaiapoi Lodge (North Canterbury District). N.1.0.0.F. —Auckland Provincial District; United Brothers Lodge (Auckland Provincial District). A.O.F. —Taranaki District; Canterbury United District (2) ; Court Papanui, Court Star of Belfast, Court Star of Rakaia (Canterbury United District). A.O.S.—Sanctuary Sir George Grey. U.A.O.D. —Grand Lodge of Canterbury, New Zealand ; Grand Lodge of Otago and Southland, New Zealand. 1.0.R. —New Zealand Central District.
