ORDERS OF REFERENCE. Extracts from Die Journals of the House of Representatives. FRIDAY, the 28th Day of July, 1922. Ordered, "That Standing Order No. 219 be suspended, and that a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of thirteen members, to whom shall be referred all Bills specially dealing with the revision of the law; with power to confer and sit together with any similar Committee appointed by the Legislative Council : the Committee to have, power to call for persons, papers, and records ; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Mr. Field, Hon. Mr. Hanan, Mr. Lysnar, Mr. MoCallum, Hon. Mr. Parr, Mr. Reed, Hon. Sir R. H. Rhodes, Mr. Seddon, Mr. Sidey, Mr. Statham, Hon. Mr. Downie Stewart, Mr. Wilford, and the mover."—(Hon. Mr. Lee.) Friday, the 28tii Day of July, 1922. Ordered, "That the administration of Justice Bill be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee."—(Hon. Mr. Lee.) Thursday, the 10t.ii Day of August, 1922. Ordered, " That the Sea Carriage of Goods Bill, the Mercantile Law Amendment Bill, and the Settled Land Amendment Bill lie referred to the Statutes Revision Committee."—(lion. Mr. Lee.) Tuesday, the sth Day of September, 1922. Ordered, "■ That the Aged and Inlirm Persons Protection Amendment Bill be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee."—(Hon. Mr. Coates.) Thursday, the 14th Day of September, 1922. Ordered, " That the Report of the Statutes Revision Committee on the Aged and Inlirm Person? Protection Amendment Bill be referred back to the Committee for further consideration."—(Mr. Harris.) Wednesday, the 20tii Day of September, 1922. Ordered, " That the Fencing Amendment Bill be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee."—(Mr. Reed.) Monday, the 9th Day op October, 1922. Ordered, " That the Magistrates' Courts Amendment Bill be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee."— (Hon. Mr. Lee.) Thursday, the 12th Day of October, 1922. Ordered, "That the Fencing Amendment Bill be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee."—(Hon. Mr. Downie Stewart.) Tuesday, the 17th Day of October, 1922. Ordered, " That the Rating Amendment Bill be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee."—(Hon. Mr-. Downie Stewart.)

HE POETS. Settled Land Amendment Bill. The Statutes Revision Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that the said Bill has been carefully considered, and the Committee recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with amendments as shown on copy of the Bill attached hereto. 16th August, 1922.

Administeation op Justice Bill. The Statutes Revision Committee, to which was referred the above-mentioned Bill, has the honour to report that the said Bill has been carefully considered, and the Committee recommends that it be allowed to proceed without amendment. 16th August, 1922.
