CABLE BUSINESS. The Dominion's outward international and Australian cable business, excluding Press, for the years 1920-21 and 1919-20 was as follows:— INTERNATIONAL. Number of Value. There was a total increase of 19,698 messages, and a decrease in value of £1,244. ' The decrease in value is due to a decrease in the number of words in international messages of 59,507. This is accounted for by a reduction in Government traffic, and by the more extensive use of code as the restrictions were removed. Of the total revenue received on forwarded cable messages —viz., £192,151 —£182,974 was paid to other Administrations and £9,177 retained by New Zealand. RECEIVED CABLE MESSAGES.
