Rangiriri Domain. Section No. lα, Suburbs of Rangirrri. Area, 2 acres 2 roods. This domain is under the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Auckland. There is a spring on the area. Used for grazing. The lessees are required to eradicate noxious weeds. Rangitoto Island Domain. Area, 5,698 acres 2 roods of flangitoto Island, situated in Rangitoto Survey District. Work dune during year : Shelter-shed adjacent to the wharf enlarged, concrete cistern with a capacity of 1,300 gallons constructed, paths constructed, and path to summit renewed and overgrowth cut back. Improvements now on domain ; Two shelter-sheds, four concrete tanks, seats, fireplaces, a well-defined and graded path to summit of mountain and one leading towards Drunken Bay, and recreation-ground. Used as a pleasure resort. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Extending path to wharf at Drunken Bay, repairing existing footpaths, and genera] maintenance. The island is ofttimes spoken of as the sentinel <>!' Auckland Harbour, and is by its position and natural configuration adapted lor a scenic and pleasure resort. To meet the growing requirements the Board' has during the year commenced the construction of ;i pathway leading from the wharf to Drunken Hay. which when completed "ill considerably enhance the attractiveness of the island. Area, 37 acres 2 roods 28 perches. Improvements now on domain : Fencing and draining. Used for picnics. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Providing a suitable plot near the bush for picnic parties and fencing. Leased. Takahue Domain. .Section No. 6a. Block XV. Takahue Survey District. Area, 4 acres 1 rood 27 perches This domain is tinder the control of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Auckland. Takapi;na Domain. Section No. 250. Takapuna Parish. Area, IJSO acres 2 roods. The domain commands a splendid view of Hauraki Gulf, and is visited by camping parties. The Takapuna tramways now run to within a mile of the domain. Tankatca Domain. Section No. 11, Block IX. Whakatane Survey District. Area, 10 acres Work done during year : Barberry hedge cleaned and the traps in it replanted. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, gates, grassing, barberry hedge, tennis-courts, and bowling-green. The improvements on the domain consist of fencing, ploughing, and grassing. Part is used for lawn tennis.
