Birkenhead Domain. Section No. 122, Takapuna Parish. Area, 112 acres 2 roods Six acres leased for grazing. Buffalo Domain. Sections Nos. 31 and 32, Village of Buffalo, Suburbs of Coromandel. Area, 20 acres 1 rood 39 perches. Work done during year : Clearing, cutting blackberries, and general improvements. Improvements now on domain : Post-and-wire, galvanized-iron, and picket fencing, and gates. Used for football, cricket, sports, and picnics. A military encampment was held on the domain during the year. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Ploughing, levelling, clearing blackberries, and general improvements. Cambridge Domain. Sections Nos. 576, 359, 360, 361, 361 a, 367, 581, 575, 579, 363, 363 a, 364, 365, 366, 368, and 370, Town of Cambridge East, and the Cambridge East Town Belt. Area, 484 acres 1 rood 7 perches. A pair of white swans have been presented to the Board by His Majesty the King, and a suitable pen erected for them. The seats and gates have been repainted, and a handsome pair of entrance-gates have been presented and erected by the inhabitants of the district to the memory of the late Mr. Thomas Wells, who was for many years Chairman of the Board. The grounds have been generally maintained, and gorse and weeds cleared. Improvements now on domain ; Band-rotunda, pavilion, bowling-greens, tennis-courts, native ami ornamental trees, seats, flowerbeds, walks, fences, hedges, and gates. The pavilion and walks are lighted with gas, and the lake is stocked with white and black swans, mallard, paradise, teal, and other ducks. Used for bowls, tennis, band-concerts, picnics, general recreation, and as a promenade. Proposed operations for ensuing year.: Generally improving the grounds, procuring another pair of swans, grubbing and clearing gorse and noxious weeds, and clearing raupo from the edges of the lake. Casnell Island Domain. Section No. 196, Mahurangi Parish. Area, 16 acres 3 roods. Used for camping and picnics. Devonport Domain. Allotments Nos. 36, 37, and 39 of Section No. 2, and Mount Victoria Reserve, Takapuna Parish. Area, 41 acres 2 roods 36 perches. Work done during year: Cricket-pitch weeded, levelled, top-dressed, and rolled; surface drains attended to; noxious weeds cleared; tennis-court formed, top-dressed, and rolled; paths cleaned; and bowling-green top-dressed and rolled. The cricket-pitch was top-dressed with soil which the Domain Board obtained from Port Albert. Improvements now on domain: Fencing, draining, conveniences, trees, seats, pavilions, cricket and football grounds, and bowling-green. Used for cricket, bowls, tennis, croquet, football, and hockey. From Mount Victoria a splendid view of Auckland and suburbs may be obtained. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Topdressing and levelling cricket-ground, clearing and repairing path, and general maintenance. Drury Domain. Allotment No. 85 of Section No. 8, Village of Drury. Area, 3 acres and 32 perches. Work done during the year : One acre and a half ploughed and sown with English grass. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, clearing, and grassing. Leased for grazing. Eastern Mahurangi Domain. Section No. 176, Parish of Mahurangi. Area, 108 acres and 15 perches. No works undertaken. East Tamaki Domain. Sections Nos. 140 and 40, Pakuranga Parish. Area, 18 acres 1 rood 35 perches. Work done during year: Noxious weeds cleaved and fences repaired. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, plantations, and dam. Used for picnics and grazing. Proposed operations for ensuing year : Clearing noxious weeds and forming roadway to area fenced in for sports. Epsom and Mount Eden Domain. Part of Allotment No. 46, Allotment No. 49, and part of Allotment No. 48, of Section No. 6, Suburbs of Auckland. Area, 29 acres 3 roods 16 perches. Work done during year : Scoria-pit fenced in. Proposed operations for ensuing year: Ploughing, levelling, and removing stone from a portion of the domain to prepare an area for cricket, <fee. Gate Pa Domain. Sections Nos. 41, 41a, 42, and part 13, Suburbs of Tauranga. Area, 12 acres 1 rood 37 perches. Work done during year : Part of domain cleared of gorse and ploughed. Wire has also been obtained for erecting fencing. Improvements now on domain : Fencing, clearing, and grassing.
