NATIVE LANDS VESTED IN THE MAORI LAND BOARDS UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE MAORI LANDS ADMINISTRATION ACT, 1900, AND ITS AMENDMENTS.
Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 15th September, 1910. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return for each Maori land district showing — (1) The names o( the blocks vested in the Maori Land Boards under the provisions of the Maori Lands Administration Act, I'JOO, and its amendments; (2) the date of the vesting; (3) the area of each block no vested ; (4) the date on which such blocks were offered or reoffered for leasing ; (5) the number of leases on each block with area held on 31st March, 1910, showing (a) Europeans—area (acres), (b) Maoris—are* (acres); (6) the annual rental at that date; (7) the number of sections still unlet at that date ; (8) the total expenditure inourred in opening up each block, stating liabilities owing on 31st Maroh, 1910, such to cover (a) the Native Land Court liens, (b) surveys, (c) roading, bridging, &c, (d) less repayments, (c) balance owing on 31st Maich, 1910; and (0) tlie total amount paid by the Board to the. owners of each block."—(Mr. Herries.)
