The cost of maintaining the various kinds of schools in Chicago is shown in Table Fl as the cost per pupil; and in Table F2 the cost per pupil is shown for New Zealand schools, as nearly as possible on the same basis— i.e., all expenses are included except the cost of new buildings, additions, and improvements.
