Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated the 18th August, 1904. Ordered, " That there be laid before this House a return showing all applications made to the Government or Native Department for consent to purchase, sell, lease, remove, or vary restrictions upon Native land since the passing of "The Native Land Court Act, 1894" ; such return to show (1) the applications which have been granted, the date on which such applications were made, and when granted ; (2) the applications which have been refused, and the names of the persons whose applications have been refused ; and (3) any applications not yet dealt with, and the date on which such applications were received."—(Mr. Massey.)
