PROCLAMATION OF MAEREWHENUA RIVER (COMPENSATION IN CONNECTION WITH, MEN EMPLOYED, AND APPROXIMATE YIELD OF GOLD).

Returns to an Order of the House of Representatives dated 23rd September, 1892. Ordered, " That a return be laid before the House showing (1) what amount of money has been paid for compenosation in connection with the Proclamation of the Maerewhenua River; (2) the number of men employed goldmining there now ; and (3) the approximate quantity of gold which this field has yielded."—(Mr. Buckland.)
