SALE OF A BLOCK OF 10,000 ACRES OF LAND CONTAINING COAL, (PAPERS AND CORRESPONDENCE CONNECTED WITH).
Meturn to an Order of the Souse of Representatives, dated 29tk June, 1876. " That there be laid upon the table all papers and correspondence connected with the sale of a block of 10,000 acres of land containing coal, in the Parish of Pepepe, near Ngaruawahia, in the Province of Auckland; together with all applications relating to putting the same up for sale, Gazette notices, surreys, and other matters in connection with the sale." — (Sir G. No. 1. The Hon. D. Pollen to the Seceetaey for Ceown Lands. Sic, — General Government Offices, Auckland, 13th July, 1872. I beg to hand you enclosed schedule of allotments of confiscated lands in this province proposed, with the approval of the Hon. Colonial Secretary, to be offered for sale by auction on the 29th of August next (see No. 2). If approved, 1 have to request that the schedule may be published as soon as possible in the New Zealand Gazette, and that 250 slips of the advertisement, in the form of hand-bills, may be printed and sent to me. The allotments in the Town of Ngaruawahia, and the block of 10,000 acres at the coal mines, numbered 166, Parish of Pepepe, are put up for sale by direction of Mr. McLean. I have, &c, D. No. 2. Exteact from New Zealand Gazette, 20th July, 1872. Public notification.—Under and in pursuance of the powers vested in me as Commissioner appointed by His Excellency the Governor to carry out the Ilegulations for the Sale of Lands taken for Settlement under " The New Zealand Settlements Act, 1863," in the Province of Auckland, I do hereby notify that the town, suburban, and special rural lands specified in the schedule hereundor written will be offered for sale by public auction, in accordance with the said Regulations, at the AV^aikato Lands Office, Auckland, at noon, on Thursday, the 29th day of August, 1872.
