REPORTS Distress and Replevin Amendment Bill I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee nas carefully considered "the Distress and Replevin Amendment Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed without amendment. 2nd August, 1950.

Magistrates' Courts Amendment Bill I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Magistrates' Courts Amendment Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed without amendment. 2nd August, 1950.

Land Transfer Amendment Bill I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Land Transfer Amendment Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed without amendment. 2nd August, 1950.

Infants Amendment Bill I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Infants Amendment Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed without amendment. . 17th August, 1950.

Evidence Amendment Bill I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Evidence Amendment Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed without amendment. 25th August, 1950.

Property Law-Amendment Bill I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has Carefully considered the Property Law Amendment Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed with the amendments shown in the copy of the Bill hereto annexed. 25th August, 1950.

Chattels Transfer Amendment Bill I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Chattels Transfer Amendment Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed with the amendment shown in the copy of the Bill hereto annexed. Ist September, 1950.

New Zealand Army Bill I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the New Zealand Army Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed with the amendment shown in the copy of the Bill hereto annexed. I have the honour further to report that the Committee recommends that consideration be given to the question of limiting summary jurisdiction to those Officers below field rank, in order to bring this Bill into line with the Royal New Zealand Air Force Bill. sth October, 1950.

Royal New Zealand Air Force Bill I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Royal New Zealand Air Force Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed with the further amendment shown in the copy of the Bill hereto annexed, C. Gr. E. Harker, Chairman. sth October, 1950.

Limitation Bill On behalf of the Chairman of the Statutes Revision Committee, I have the honour to report that the Committee has carefully considered the Limitation Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed with the amendments shown in the copy of the Bill hereto annexed. 31st October, 1950.

Crown Proceedings Bill On behalf of the Chairman of the Statutes Revision Committee, I have the honour to report that the Committee has carefully considered the Crown Proceedings Bill, and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed with the amendments shown in the copy of the Bill hereto annexed. Property Law Amendment Bill (Noi 2) I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Property Law Amendment Bill (No. 2), and recommends that the Bill be allowed to proceed with the amendments shown in the copy of the Bill hereto annexed. 28th November, 1950.

Parliamentary Paper H-13 On behalf of the Statutes Revision Committee, to which was referred the List of Returns or Statements required by law or resolution to be laid before the House, I have the honour to report that time has not permitted of a careful examination of the very large list of Papers which come under the above heading, and the Committee therefore recommends that the matter be again raised early in the next ensuing session of Parliament. 30th November, 1950.

Special Report I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee at its last meeting passed the following resolution : " That this Committee place on record its appreciation of the services rendered to it by the Law Draftsman and his assistants, and acknowledges that they have spared neither time nor effort to prepare the many measures that have been before it during the present session," and directed that this resolution be reported to the House. 30th November, 1950.

Special Report I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee at its last meeting passed the following Resolution : " That this Committee, on the occasion of the last meeting which its Clerk, Mr. A. E. Elgar, will attend before his retirement, desires to express its very sincere appreciation of his services to the Committee throughout the whole period of the 1950 session. It is due to his courtesy and thoroughness that the Committee has been able to put through such a heavy programme of work without any undue delay," and directed that this resolution be reported to the House.
