ORDER OF REFERENCE.
Extract from the. Journals of the House of Representatives. Wednesday, the 29th Day of September, 1937. Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to consider all matters pertaining to agricultural and pastoral industries and stock which may be referred to it, with power to confer and sit together with any similar Committee which may be appointed by the Legislative Council, and to agree to a joint or separate report: the Committee to consist of Mr. Barclay, Mr. C. H. Burnett, Mr. T. I). Burnett, Mr. Coulter, Mr. Hunter, Mr. Kyle, Mr. Poison, Mr. Roberts, Mr. Williams, and the Mover." —(Right Hon. Mr. Savage, for Hon. Mr. Lee Mabtin.)
No. 152/1936. —Petition of W. R, Cockburn, of Auckland. Praying that he be granted a compassionate allowance in consideration of inventions allegedly perfected and adopted by other interests for the benefit of the dairying and kauri-gum industries. I have the honour to report that in the opinion of the Committee the petition should be referred to the Government for consideration. 11th November, 1937.
No. 314/1936. —Petition of L. G. de la Perrelle, and 295 Others, of Winton. Praying that a slaughtering, freezing, and export license be granted to Miss C. N. Thomson and Miss C. E. Thomson, of Winton. I have the honour to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. B. Roberts, Chairman. 11th -November, 1937.
Special Report. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee desires to express its appreciation of the ability and courtesy with which the Chairman, Mr. Roberts, has presided over the meetings of the Committee during the session. It further desires that this resolution shall be recorded on the minutes of the Committee and be reported to the House. T. D. Burnett, a Member of the Committee. 14th March, 1938.
Special Report. I have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee desires to place on record its appreciation of the services rendered by the Clerk of the Committee, Mr. E. B. Harman, and, further, desires this resolution to be recorded on the minutes of the Committee and be reported to the House. 14tli March, 1938.
Final Report. Ī have the honour to report that the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee, consisting of ten members, has held five meetings during the session, with an average attendance at each meeting of five members. Two petitions were referred to the Committee and reported on to the House. B. Roberts, Chairman. 14th March, 1938.
