Ordered, " That the Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Amendment Bil! be referred to the Statutes Revision Committee." —(Mr. Mason.) Ordered, "That the Magistrates' Courts Amendment Bill be referred, to the Statutes Revision Committee."— (Mr. Mason.) Wednesday, the 23rd Day of July, 1930. Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to whom shall be referred all Bills specially dealing with the revision of the law ; with power to confer and sit together with auy similar Committee appointed by the Legislative Council; the Committee to have power to call for persons, papers, and records ; three to be a quorum : the Committee to consist of Mr. Barnard, Mr. Bodkin, Mr. Broadfoot, Mr. Field, Mr l.ysnar, Mr. Mason, the Hon. I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee, to which the Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Amendment Bill was referred, has carefully considered the Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill attached. 24th July, 1930.
Magistrates' Courts Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee, to which the Magistrates' Courts Amendment Bill was referred, has carefully considered the Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with amendments as shown on the copy of the Bill attached. 15th August, 1930.
Industrial and Provident Societies Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Industrial and Provident Societies Amendment Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with the amendment shown in the copy of the Bill attached hereto. 27th August, 1930.
Shipping and Seamen Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the member in charge of the Shipping and Seamen Amendment Bill, which was referred to the Statutes Revision Committee, having intimated to the Committee his intention to ask for leave to withdraw the Bill, the Committee recommends that leave to withdraw the said Bill be granted. 3rd September, 1930.
New Zealand University Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the New Zealand University Amendment Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with the amendments shown in the copy of the Bill hereto attached. 3rd September, 1930.
Law Practitioners Amendment Bill. 1 have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Law Practitioners Amendment Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with the amendment shown 011 the copy of the Bill hereto attached. 3rd September, 1930.
Judicature Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Judicature Amendment Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed. 3rd September, 1930.

Life Insurance Agents Bill. 1 have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Life Insurance Agents Bill, and recommends that in view of the advisability, in the opinion of the Committee, of a wider public knowledge of the proposals contained in the Bill, it be not proceeded with this session. 2nd October, 1930.
Property Law Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Property Law Amendment Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with the amendments shown on the copy of the Bill hereto attached. 10th October, 1930.
Destitute Persons Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Destitute Persons Amendment Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed, with the amendments shown on the copy of the Bill hereto attached. 10th October, 1930.
Companies Amendment Bill. I have the honour to report that the Statutes Revision Committee has carefully considered the Companies Amendment Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed without amendment. 10th October, 1930.
Special Report. 1 have the honour to report that at its final meeting, held on Wednesday, the 22nd day of November, 1930, the Statutes Revision Committee unanimously passed the following resolution : — " That this Committee place on record its appreciation of the able services rendered throughout the session by Mr. W. J. Broadfoot, as Chairman of the Committee, and direct that this resolution be recorded on the minutes of the Committee, and reported to the House." W. H. Field, 25th October, 1930. Member of the Committee.
Special Report. I have the honour to report that at its final meeting, held on Wednesday, the 22nd day of October, 1930, the Statutes Revision Committee expressed its appreciation of the services rendered by the Clerk, Mr. W. J. Organ, and directed that the resolution be recorded on the minutes of the Committee, and reported to the House. 25th October, 1930.
Final Report. I have the honour to report that during the present session the Statutes Revision Committee, consisting of ten members; has held nine meetings, with an average attendance at each meeting of six members. Eleven Bills were referred to the Committee, considered, and reported to the House. 25th October, 1930. W. J. Broadfoot, Chairman.
